The common view of the river is dirty stinky mess
What if it was different?
What if it was different?
I'm proposing a multi phase project to filter L.A. river tributaries in an effort to clean the la river.
Filtering the water and collecting debris and sediment out of the tujunga wash will in turn clean the la river just a little bit.
I propose multiple sites of the same project here to clean up many tributaries to have a stronger cleaning affect on the river.

Beginning with a warehouse structure to get this operation started quickly.
A simple concrete and steel structure for economy and efficiency
Workers would use bulldozers and common methods to clean up the wash and begin bringing in debris and sediment.

This sediment will be sorted and reused via recycling, and by producing new building materials like bricks blocks and linear extrusions.
Over time these materials will be used to grow the site bringing my project into phase two
In phase tWo the building will begin to filter the wash itself without human intervention
Creating blockages causes sediment to pile up and be cleaned later

Phase three will be 50 years later when the proposal has sold enough product to create a more efficient mobile wash cleaner. This vehicle collects sediment and debris and places it into trucks to be brought back to the building and processed
Phase four marks the start of moving architecture. No longer restricted by a foundation and site, the crawler is set upon the wash. This crawler will clean the Tujunga wash, the L.A. river, and its tributaries.
Existing filter sites will be used as storage and material processing plants.
